An efficient and sturdy way to uncork wine and champagne, this stainless-steel corkscrew from Arcosteel mounts to the table, countertop, or bar. Using a simple lever system, the unit sends the corkscrew into the bottle smoothly and removes the cork with an upward push of its wooden handle. The cork is automatically ejected in the removal process. Ideal for quick and frequent use on whites, reds, and sparkling wines, the piece is appropriate for use at home as well as in bars and restaurants. Keep in mind that it requires a heavy table or counter for mounting, which must be 1-3/4 inches or less in thickness. With its mirror finish, black handle, and streamlined design, the corkscrew is a handsome as well as purposeful device. It measures 21 inches with the handle fully extended, and attaches to the table with a simple screw-tightened grip. A wall-mounted version is also available.
